Tazinos^® History

Tazinos^® Pizza & Salad Bistro began in 2007 when an Oak Creek, WI businessman shared his vision with some of his business peers and friends. Jim Purcell's vision was a restaurant concept offering customers a quick, casual, convenient, high-quality, better-for you, all-inclusive self-serve pizza, pasta and salad bar at a value-based price point for our customers.

The yet-to-be-named restaurant concept caught on with those he shared his vision with, and soon Purcell had assembled the core executive team that would work diligently side-by-side with him. By early 2008, the restaurant had a name, a design, a menu and a plan… the vision was coming to life! In October 2008, the first Tazinos^® Pizza & Salad Bistro opened its doors in Oak Creek, WI to a public that anxiously awaited its arrival.

Since the beginning, people noticed significant differences about Tazinos^®...things that simply make it a better overall dining experience. Customers quickly learned that this is not a 'typical' pizza restaurant. Instead, they discover that Tazinos^® offers an extensive variety of all-you-can-eat, delicious oven-fresh pizzas, savory pastas, and a garden-fresh salad bar in a contemporary, open and inviting environment that's perfect adults, children, families, couples, groups...everyone! In addition, Tazinos^® has always used higher-quality ingredients offering better nutrition in their recipes, leading customers to understand and agree that "better-for-you never tasted so good!_sm"

In March 2009 Tazinos^® opened its second restaurant, located in Menomonee Falls. Later, in July 2009, Tazinos^® opened its Kenosha (Pleasant Prairie) location. With aggressive expansion plans in place, including franchising opportunities, Tazinos^® is poised for growth and will soon be opening additional locations in SE Wisconsin and beyond!
